Ankura Consulting retained Chuck Gorum for assistance in a number of real estate projects emanating from a $470 M acquisition of an international consulting firm. The management of a 90,000 square foot corporate headquarters consolidation project on K Street in downtown Washington, D.C. was our largest and most complicated and time sensitive project. Chuck quickly established trusted working relationships with key members of our senior management team as well as various other stakeholders. Chuck’s professional experience allowed him to promptly identify critical requirements, important coordination points, hard deadlines and areas with the potential for value engineering in the early planning stages.
Chuck’s leadership of an exceptional team completed the new headquarters facility on time and $500k below expected costs. His expertise, sensitivity to our needs, and respect for others on the project team created a positive, productive environment. Throughout this project Chuck maintained effective communications, followed up to ensure the entire team was performing and stayed focused through completion of the work.
My long term relationship with Chuck was my reason for using his services for our headquarters facility. He’s honest, diligent and exhibits the values we have employed to build our firm.
